Board Sustainability Pledges

I pledge to grow as much food on my allotment as I can, developing my horticultural knowledge in things such as composting, companion planting and organic pest control. 

I pledge to move my pension to a more ethical option.

I pledge to reduce business travel, prioritise virtual meetings and use sustainable travel for professional commitments.

I pledge include water efficiency in my induction when new colleagues join the team and also to reduce my use of plastic one-use items by remembering my shopping bags and buying ‘loose’ fruit and vegetables.

I pledge to investigate how I can reduce the electricity costs of heating water at home by replacing my current boiler to an instant hot water heater.

I pledge to leverage my water literacy training and find opportunities to educate others and champion water efficiency in my local community.

I pledge to continue to use my profile in my local community as a water and environment champion to share messages and ideas on changes that people can make which make a real difference to people’s water footprint.
